About the role

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for checking guests in and out of their rooms, handling reservations, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Issues room keys and escorts guests as appropriate.
• Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages.
• Transmits and receives messages using various equipment.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local activities.
• Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Computes bills, collects payments, and makes change.
• Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations for guests.
• Posts charges and may make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations.
• Deposits guests' valuables in the hotel safe or safe-deposit box.
• May order complimentary items for special guests.
• Communicates effectively with other front office and hotel departments.
• Takes initiative to cross-sell other Shamin Hotels products.
• Reports to work on time and in uniform.
• Enforces hotel company credit policies and ensures proper accounting for all cash.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
