Responsibilities
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests regardless of how busy or the time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- All hotel features/services and hours of operation.
- All room rates, special packages, and promotions.
- Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
- Scheduled daily group activities.
- Obtain and secure assigned bank, ensuring accuracy of contracted monies.
- Answer department telephones using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Process all guest check-ins, verify registration card information, and handle guest credit/payment methods.
- Direct Bell Person to escort guests and transport luggage to rooms.
- Handle overbooked or "walked" guests professionally.
- Accept and record wake-up call requests.
- Monitor, send, and distribute guest faxes.
- Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments (e.g., special requests, amenity delivery).
- Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
- Match the bucket check to the in-house guest ledger report and report discrepancies to supervisor/manager.
- Process all check-outs, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
- Process Players Club applications and issue Players Cards to interested guests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and promote superior guest service.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
- Proficiency in inputting and accessing information in property management systems, computers, and point-of-sale systems.
- Some college or training in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Clerk.
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing.
