About the role

Poste Montane Lodge is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, reliable Front Desk Agent to join our team in providing warm hospitality and personalized service to our guests and owners throughout their stay at our boutique, intimate mountain lodge. The Front Desk Agent is the face of the property and creates the first and last impression for our guests. As part of a small team, the ideal candidate for this position is a hospitality all-rounder and will work closely with maintenance and housekeeping departments to ensure the upkeep and condition of the property, while also performing administrative duties and serving as a local guide through personalized concierge services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver VIP-worthy service by greeting owners and guests with genuine warmth, managing check-ins/outs, and resolving concerns with ease and grace.
  • Keep operations flowing by handling reservations, payments, and daily administrative tasks, while supporting with maintenance requests, inspections, and light upkeep.
  • Serve as the communication hub—coordinating frequently with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure a polished, guest-ready lodge.
  • Support lodge operations by caring for public spaces, assisting with breakfast service and special events, and tackling light maintenance projects.
  • Share your local expertise by offering tailored recommendations, booking activities, and assisting with luggage, packages, and shipping for a smooth, stress-free experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Comfortable using various office equipment and familiar with property management software (RDPWIN) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills to resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
  • Friendly demeanor, ability to think quickly on your feet, and communicate effectively while working well with others.

Pay

$23 - $26 per hour plus a $1,000 hiring bonus (half paid after 60 days, half paid after 90 days).

Schedule

Full-time, year-round position. 8 hours per day, Saturday through Wednesday; hours may vary.

Start date: ASAP. Job closing date: 9/15/2026 or until filled.
