FRFS Wholesale Payments Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Research commercial, government, and exception transactions in the appropriate application by performing financial transaction research, validating data, and preparing correspondence to customers.
  • Executes complex payment processing programs, including day one and day two system operations management of Fedwire, ACH, Check, and other payment applications.
  • Performs commercial and government accounting and settlement, system monitoring, check processing, exceptions processing, payment repair, and workflow management.
  • Escalates payment-related issues to senior staff or management as needed.
  • Assists customers with questions, provides customer education, and coordinates with the customer and with other national sites that provide interfacing customer services.
  • Follows up with customers to ensure problem resolution for routine inquiries.
  • Communicates professionally with internal and external customers in a respectful and helpful manner.
  • Processes, verifies, balances, and prepares reports of transactions for leadership and other stakeholders, updates and maintains databases.
  • Utilizes a variety of documented procedures and online tools for troubleshooting to process items and research customer issues and provide problem solving.
  • Escalates complex problems, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate in a team environment with high results orientation; displays effective interpersonal skills.
  • Contributes to process improvement projects; assists in modifying and updating existing business processes; may participate in cross-department initiatives and projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience, prefer experience processing flow of checks and making adjustments within the banking industry. Experience conducting basic research and data collection. Ability to analyze and resolve cases.
  • Knowledge: Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.
  • Business Operations: Banking Accounting.
  • Customer Service: Technical Skills Proficient Communication Written, listening and verbalStrong Attention to detail.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $57,400 - $86,100. The Boston Fed believes in salary transparency. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data. We anticipate hiring toward the lower end of this range for candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, with room for growth as skills develop.
