French Teacher (Junior/Intermediate/Senior)

About the role

Join the team at Oxford Learning Ajax as a part-time French teacher. Gain valuable teaching experience while helping students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teach in-person
• Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Fill in post-lesson notes
• Complete daily student communication updates
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Requirements

• Strong background in spoken and written French and English
• Comfortable teaching up to a Grade 12 level
• Instruct class sessions in French
• Reliable and enthusiastic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience may be considered
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Strong English and French written and oral communication skills
• Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum

Skills

• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Pay

$20 / hour

Schedule

• Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00pm/4:00pm - 8:00 pm
• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm/4:00pm - 8:00 pm
• Potential for Saturday mornings too, 9:00am - 1:00 pm
