Freight Handler

About the role

As a freight handler at Gordon Food Service, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by safely removing pallets of product from trailers and breaking down the product for correct pallet configurations. Your responsibilities include separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensuring that damaged product is properly accounted for, and maintaining the structural integrity of pallets.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from trailers
• Break down product for correct pallet configurations
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets
• Ensure damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F)
• Read, write, and communicate in English
• Pass a drug test and background check
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required

Pay

Starting at $18.60/hour Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc.

Schedule

Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off. 10 PM - 6 AM
