Freight Handler

Bray Controls, a subsidiary of Bray International, Inc., is seeking a Freight Handler/Forklift Operator for our facility in Northwest Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift checks of equipment and complete daily material checklist; submit requisitions.
• Maintain daily list of all cargo remaining on the dock.
• Label and stage freight for all carriers; load and unload trucks.
• Record transactions in the computer system.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly shipping area.
• Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and packaging equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of warehouse and materials handling experience, including inventory management, forklift/power equipment operation, and shipping/receiving duties.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• Must pass a background screening and comply with federal drug-testing requirements, including testing for controlled substances (marijuana, regardless of state/local laws).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Shifts typically range from 8–12 hours, with potential overtime on Saturdays.
