Freezer Associate- 2nd Shift

About the Role

Primarily responsible for manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Rotate product by date in the cooler to prevent old product from remaining.
• Check to ensure all pallets, boxes, and stretch wrap are in good condition before loading onto trailers.
• Stage loads for shipping to expedite the loading process.
• Keep the cooler floor clean.
• Ensure all products in the cooler are placed correctly according to wall signage.
• Back trailers into the shipping dock for the 1st shift and have products ready on the dock for loading.
• Stack/load boxes from the production line onto pallets following a specific pattern, ensuring labels face out and lot numbers are visible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Skills

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.

Safety Requirements

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas at all times.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• May be exposed to cold temperatures (45°F, 4°C).
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
