About the role

Lightly AG is an ETH and HSG spin-off pioneering in machine learning and computer vision. Backed by Y Combinator and top-tier investors, our technology is used by global leaders in autonomous driving, medical imaging, and visual inspection.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated weather forecasting and event analysis
• Verify weather events (storms, heatwaves, cold snaps, precipitation patterns) against historical records
• Familiarize yourself with US city-level weather data — temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, cloud cover
• Analyze how weather events impact downstream systems (energy demand, agriculture, transportation)
• Show strong analytical and written communication skills in English
• Work directly with a YC-backed team on cutting-edge AI evaluation projects

• Background in meteorology, atmospheric science, climate science, or environmental science
• Strong analytical and written communication skills in English
