Freelance Video Editor – Social Shorts Remote

About the role

Join a dynamic digital marketing team as a remote freelance video editor, specializing in short-form content for social media platforms. You will edit approximately 25 vertical videos per month for clients in fitness, property, hospitality, retail, and lifestyle sectors. This is an ongoing, part‑time contract with the potential for increased workload as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver 25 vertical short‑form videos per month, optimized for Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Incorporate strong hooks, captions, on‑screen text, music, and sound effects to maximize viewer retention
• Apply basic color correction, B‑roll integration, and 9:16 formatting for all content
• Ensure all videos align with provided brand direction and creative briefs
• Adapt to various brand styles and implement feedback efficiently
• Maintain consistent, dependable weekly turnaround times

Requirements

• Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Demonstrated experience editing short‑form social media videos
• Strong understanding of pacing, retention strategies, and visual storytelling for digital platforms
• Excellent English communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
• Availability for ongoing, part‑time collaboration
