Freelance- Textile Designer- Hybrid- Los Angeles

Job Description We’re looking for a trendy Textile Designer to bring Pop Culture Fashion designs to life through original textile prints and graphics. This role will work closely with Merchandising and Design teams, as well as the Senior Artist, to develop trend-driven artwork for fashion apparel. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of pop culture, fashion trends, textile design, print techniques, and production artwork, with expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Senior Artist to develop original textile prints and graphics for fashion apparel. Create artwork inspired by current trends and pop culture. Create and present print concepts to Design and Merchant partners. Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare, modify, resize, and finalize artwork. Work with Product Development and Design to communicate printing and design techniques to factories. Develop artwork with consideration for silk screening, embroidery, sublimation, embellishment, woven plaids, and dye treatments. Collaborate with Merchandising, Design, Product Development, and cross-functional teams. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid work environment. Qualifications 3+ years of Textile Design experience within a wholesale and/or vertical business. Education or certification in Graphic Arts or Textile Design. Expert-level Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills. Ability to hand draw and recreate artwork based on specific styles and techniques. Strong understanding of fashion, trends, and pop culture. Comprehensive knowledge of textile and apparel printing techniques. Strong time management, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Comfortable working hybrid, with one day onsite in City of Industry.
