Freelance Technical Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update technical packages, garment specifications, and detailed fit comments for women’s apparel.
• Manage technical design for woven categories including dresses, tops, skirts, jackets, pants, and outerwear.
• Evaluate samples for fit, construction, measurements, and overall product execution.
• Partner closely with design, product development, and production teams to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Track revisions and maintain accurate documentation throughout the lifecycle of each style.
• Support fittings and communicate necessary corrections to vendors in a timely and clear manner.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer in women’s apparel.
• Strong background in woven and cut-and-sew product categories.
• Knowledge of fit, grading, garment construction, and factory communication.
• Experience using Centric and Gerber preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
