Freelance Subtitling Linguist for English into Khmer

About the role
Due to increased demand for localized content, Pixelogic is seeking experienced English into Khmer subtitling translators and QCers to join our language services department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with a team that handles changing priorities and workloads. Time flexibility is critical due to the sensitive nature of delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of subtitle file creation, including conforming, translating, or proofreading/QC’ing subtitle files using Pixelogic’s proprietary cloud-based subtitling software.
- Use in-house glossary tools to ensure consistency across products and adhere to client style guide specifications.
- Address rejections and make corrections in files as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and adapt to evolving client requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive content.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Khmer and English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of subtitling translation and/or proofreading experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet rigorous schedules, including on-time delivery and flexible working hours.
- Ability to follow technical and style guides for multiple client content types.
