Freelance Software Tester (Remote in Alberta, CA)

About the role

We are looking for freelance software testers based in Alberta, Canada to join us in testing a popular wagering app.

Responsibilities

• Providing concise notes and evidence (screenshots / screen recordings if requested in the run).
• Leveraging your device(s) to launch the product.
• Creating a consumer account on a wagering platform, including navigating through a KYC (know-your-customer) flow.
• Using your own legal information to register.
• Running through key wagering flows (such as placing a wager, checking wager status, basic navigation, and other core actions defined in the run instructions).
• Capturing and reporting any functional issues, crashes, obvious UI defects, or blocking problems in the wagering flow.

Requirements

• Age: You must be at least 21 years old.
• Location: Must be physically located in Alberta, Canada.
• Availability: You must be available to test between 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM US local time for 30 to 1 hours.
• Devices: You will need an iPhone or iPad to participate in this project.
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but we offer free courses to help you learn and grow.

Pay

• The pay rate for this is $30 USD/hr.
• You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.

Schedule

• Work on short-term, freelance projects.
• Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour of work every few weeks when the client's app receives an update.

Qualifications

• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but we offer free courses to help you learn and grow.
• Preparatory Course: Free courses are offered to help you learn more about testing on our website.
