Freelance Senior Designer

About the role

Idea Peddler is seeking a freelance Senior Designer to support destination, tourism, hospitality, and place-based marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on design role for someone who can both develop and execute creative work.

Responsibilities

• Designing advertising campaigns and marketing materials
• Developing visual territories and creative springboards
• Creating mood boards, inspiration boards, and concept explorations
• Translating strategic direction into compelling visual solutions
• Building client-ready presentations and pitch materials
• Producing production-ready files and final deliverables
• Collaborating closely with Creative Directors, writers, strategists, and account teams

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of advertising agency experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating advertising campaign development and execution
• Experience working with tourism, destination marketing, hospitality, hotel, resort, attraction, or travel-related brands
• Proven ability to create work across digital, print, social, outdoor, presentations, and experiential applications
• Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat

Qualifications

• Strong design craft and attention to detail
• Comfortable moving between concept development and execution
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Experienced presenting and discussing creative work
• Curious, collaborative, and capable of abstract thinking
• Able to take a loose strategic direction and quickly turn it into visual possibilities

Skills

• Strong portfolio demonstrating advertising campaign development and execution
• Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
