Freelance Production Artist

About the role

Weissman, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is a privately held, medium-sized company that handles every step of creating stunning dance costumes and dancewear from digital sketches to delivered products. Our mission is to empower performances and elevate the artistry of dance through passion and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Place selected photography into layouts during photoshoots for immediate creative feedback
• Create quick mockups to ensure shots align with intended use and design standards
• Execute design layouts across print collateral, digital, and email assets for B2B and B2C audiences
• Apply brand guidelines consistently across all creative outputs
• Auxiliary work with retouchers for texture, lighting, and color correction
• Collaborate with photographers, art directors, and the Creative Team on set and off set
• Prepare final design files for multiple distribution channels
• Implement quick revisions to meet deadlines and production needs
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Contribute to a professional, solutions-oriented, and positive on-set team environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media Production, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional production artist experience in an agency or in-house creative/marketing team
• Proven background executing designs for print, digital, and mobile platforms
• Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven creative environments
• Knowledge of Mac platform in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong design aesthetics with a critical eye for typography, layout, and production techniques
• Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines with precision
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Comfortable making quick revisions and solving problems under pressure
• Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude
