Freelance Product Developer - Beauty & Supplements (m/w/d)
Development and Optimization
You are responsible for developing and optimizing new cosmetic and nutritional products from concept to market launch and independently oversee external manufacturers, laboratories, and development partners. You integrate market understanding, product innovation, regulatory knowledge, and pragmatic project management.
Market Identification
Your goal is to bring marketable, differentiated, and economically successful products efficiently to market. The focus of the role is identifying new product opportunities, controlling development projects, and optimizing existing products in the beauty and supplement sectors.
Product Development
- Development and optimization of cosmetic and nutritional products from concept to market launch
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new product opportunities
- Create product briefs and oversee manufacturers, laboratories, and development partners
- Support formulation, pattern, and optimization processes
- Safeguard regulatory requirements for cosmetics and nutritional products in the EU
- Optimize existing products regarding quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability
Collaboration
Close collaboration with marketing, design, operations, and management teams.
Profile
- More than 5 years of experience in cosmetic product development, ideally nutritional supplements
- Proven experience in the development and market launch of cosmetic products in the European market is required.
- Experience working with manufacturers, laboratories, and raw material suppliers
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements in the EU market
- Self-directed, structured, and results-oriented work style
- Experience in e-commerce, Amazon, or DTC environment is advantageous
