Freelance Motion Designer

About the role

We’re looking for a freelance motion designer to collaborate on animation-heavy projects across technology, brand, and explainer content. This is a remote, project-based contract role in the United States with pay based on the freelancer's rate.

Responsibilities

• Animate motion graphics and story-driven visuals
• Work with designers and editors to bring concepts to life
• Maintain consistency across styles and sequences
• Prepare files for delivery across formats

Requirements

• Strong After Effects skills
• A solid understanding of timing, pacing, and clarity
• Experience animating for video, web, or social
• Organized, communicative, and deadline-conscious

Skills

We're less interested in whether you've animated dragons or spaceships, and more interested in whether you're excited to learn how a robotic arm assembles a product, how a medical device improves a surgical procedure, or how an industrial compressor moves air through a facility. Our artists spend just as much time asking questions as they do animating. If you enjoy breaking down complicated topics and making them easy to understand, you'll probably love the work we do.
