Freelance English to Norwegian Translator / MTPE Specialist (Remote - USA)

Language Pair: English to Norwegian (EN > nb-NO)
Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor / Ongoing Project

Project Scope & Volume

Immediate Workflow: This is a long-term, ongoing account. We have active production volume ready for assignment immediately upon successful onboarding.
Service Types: Translation, Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE), and Linguistic Revision/Review

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, post-edit, and revise e-commerce content from English into Norwegian with a focus on natural, precise, and contextually accurate language
• Ensure strict adherence to technical terminology, style guides, and client-specific glossaries
• Collaborate efficiently with our Project Management team and provide constructive linguistic feedback to optimize localized workflows
• Maintain rigorous quality standards while consistently hitting agreed-upon project deadlines

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Norwegian
• Strong English proficiency for English-to-Norwegian translation
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline preferred
• Experience in translation, localization, or MTPE
• Translation experience with product descriptions and e-commerce content preferred
• Experience with AI data annotation or AI-related validation tasks is a plus
