About the role

Brunswick & Freedom Boat Club is seeking friendly and upbeat individuals to work on the docks. Regular full-time and part-time positions are available, requiring availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time
• Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating
• Work near and on the water
• Safely move on, off and in vessels during various tide and weather conditions
• Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance
• Perform routine dockside maintenance tasks
• Assist with boat preparation and launchings
• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record (depending on role)
• High school diploma
• At least 18 years of age
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
• Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
• Read and manipulate handheld tablets
• Adhere to all safety policies

Qualifications

• Experience in or around boats (preferred)
• Additional preferred qualifications depending on role

Skills

Essential skills include strong communication and customer service abilities, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. Additional skills may be necessary based on the specific role.
