About the role
Review and analyze fraud reports, risk alerts, and various reports to reduce risk exposure to members. Process fraud claims according to policies and regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist members, branches, and departments with fraud-related questions via phone and email.
- Contact members to verify transactions for alerts received from various fraud detection systems.
- Review and analyze fraud trends to determine possible member exposure to fraud; freeze accounts, user access, and transactions when warranted.
- Work fraud queues or emails for potential fraud alerts, scams, bad accounts, checks, ACH, etc.
- Work fraud alerts and create cases in the fraud system.
- Review miscellaneous fraud reports.
- Research fraud patterns and scams, and document findings.
- Update and maintain fraud logs.
- Write procedure and educational documents.
- Participate in mentoring and training other employees.
- Understand the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to two years of similar or related experience.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience in the financial industry is strongly preferred.
- Good working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with business machinery and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Works primarily in a remote office environment with occasional days in the office.
- Regularly needs to see, talk, hear, and perform repetitive movements with arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and reach.
- Tools for this position include a computer, phone (possibly a smartphone), and standard office equipment.
- Specific vision abilities may include close and distance vision.
- May occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on prior related working experience.
Schedule
Approximately 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with some Saturdays.
