About the role

We are seeking a senior Franchise Law Partner to join our firm and help grow our practice. Ideal candidates bring deep transactional experience, a portable book of business (minimum $500K) and an interest in working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Report to our Managing Partner.
  • Supervise lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, and externs on your team.
  • Lead by example: with your work ethic, constructive feedback, and positive attitude.
  • Have significant client contact.
  • Be involved in client development and the growth of the firm.
  • Continue to develop your own book of business and help drive the continued growth of the firm.

Requirements

  • An attorney with over 10 years of franchise law experience.
  • Licensed to practice in New York, California, Florida, Texas or elsewhere in the U.S. or Canada, with a portable book of business of $500,000 or more.
  • A natural leader, experienced in advising franchisors, franchisees and franchise-adjacent businesses.
  • Practical, prepared and resourceful with excellent people skills.
  • Efficient and effective plain-English communicator.
  • Conscientious, thorough and highly accountable.
  • Motivated to learn and improve. Receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Polished, poised, energetic with a strong work ethic.
  • Always responsive and often proactive, keeping your clients (and team) well-informed.

Qualifications

  • Deep transactional experience in franchise law.
  • Minimum $500K portable book of business.
  • Licensed to practice in New York, California, Florida, Texas or elsewhere in the U.S. or Canada.
  • Natural leadership and experience in advising franchisors, franchisees, and franchise-adjacent businesses.
  • Excellent practical, prepared, and resourceful communication skills.
  • Conscientious, thorough, and highly accountable work ethic.
  • Motivated to learn and improve, receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Polished, poised, energetic work ethic.
  • Responsive and proactive communication style.

Pay

Total Compensation – $250,000 – $750,000 or more (based on experience, book of business, and performance).

Schedule

Full-time position.
