Framing & Drywall Project Manager/Estimator - Self Perform Team

About the role

This role blends estimating discipline with operational leadership. You’ll lead Absher’s self-perform framing and drywall scopes from estimate through execution, managing planning, cost performance, and field alignment to ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for metal stud framing, drywall, and taping scopes of work
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define project requirements
• Develop labor, material, and production-based cost strategies
• Participate in estimate reviews and support project buyout, vendor selection, and procurement
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance across assigned scopes
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate change orders and pricing adjustments
• Maintain strong project documentation and deliver clear financial and project reporting
• Engage with jobsites as needed to stay connected to production conditions and project progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in framing, drywall, or interior systems
• Strong experience estimating and managing project financial performance
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents independently
• Understanding of labor productivity drivers and production-based planning
• Strong collaboration with field leadership and project teams
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Safety certifications (OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred

• Disciplined operator with understanding of both the numbers and the work in the field
• Owner of outcomes, clear communication with field teams, and financial accountability

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
