About the Role

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions for their art. Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in designing memorable framing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  • Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Achieve your KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
  • Review sales and production workload and build plans for sales floor time for networking.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  • Oversee shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support Talent Development activities; participate in Performance Management activities; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
  • Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and team performance.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and professional, even in difficult situations; promote the organization’s vision and values; serve as a role model.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Follow SOPs and Company programs to maintain a safe environment.
  • Acknowledge customers, assist in locating products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
  • Retail management experience.
  • Experience leading a sales team.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting serving customers; all public areas are climate-controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled. Work may involve outdoor tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
