About the role
The Framer Operator is a key member of the Operations team, leading on the production floor—training peers, back-filling open positions, and operating Autobus and Framer equipment to assemble photovoltaic modules 24/7 in a clean, fast-paced facility.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team of Operators to maintain continuous production.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and orderly work area.
- Feed raw materials to semi-automated machines.
- Perform quality and testing procedures at every production stage.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety policies.
- Train junior operators and learn multiple floor areas to provide relief as needed.
Requirements
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to maintain production and quality standards.
- Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working in an assembly-line environment with repetitive motion tasks.
- Criminal background check and drug screening required (position is safety-sensitive).
Qualifications
- Computer experience is an asset.
- Soldering experience is an asset.
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Self-motivated.
Pay
$22.50–$23.50/hour base wage plus $1/hour night-shift premium.
Schedule
Rotating 12-hour shifts on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule.
