Job Description

Our client is seeking a fractional Healthcare Marketing and HIPAA Strategy Consultant to support a new business opportunity. The end organization is a healthcare products company transitioning from a B2B, physician-prescribed model to direct-to-consumer sales, requiring expert guidance on maintaining HIPAA compliance across customer acquisition efforts.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Prepare with internal stakeholders ahead of a client-facing strategy meeting, then participate as the HIPAA and healthcare acquisition subject matter expert.
  • Field client questions about maintaining HIPAA compliance across customer acquisition, retention, and upsell.
  • Advise on HIPAA considerations as the client implements Salesforce and shifts from Pardot to Marketing Cloud.
  • Provide follow-up guidance and recommendations after the client meeting.
  • If the project moves forward, help develop the customer acquisition plan, ensure HIPAA compliance is built into the strategy and customer journey, and review execution against the plan on a quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • Must-have:
    • B2C healthcare marketing experience - customer, patient, or client acquisition for a healthcare or pharma product that can be ordered online (in-house at a direct-to-consumer healthcare company or at a digital agency, either is fine).
    • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance as it relates to marketing and customer acquisition.
    • Understanding of the full customer journey from acquisition through retention and upsell, with HIPAA compliance maintained throughout.
    • Polished, presentable, client-facing consultant with strong executive communication skills - this person will be in the room helping win the business.
  • Nice-to-haves:
    • Experience across multiple paid channels (e.g., Google, Meta) with the ability to inform an omnichannel acquisition plan.
    • Experience with Basis (the client's usual media platform; programmatic will not be used).
    • Working familiarity with Salesforce, and general knowledge of the Pardot to Salesforce Marketing Cloud landscape (deep expertise not required).
    • CRM migration experience, especially Pardot to Marketing Cloud.
    • Marketing strategy consulting experience.
    • Background selling to the aging American customer segment, including their caregivers.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Up to $50-80/hr W2. Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K.
