Key Responsibilities
- Deliver FPV instruction to supported personnel in both classroom and practical environments
- Develop, refine, and execute training curriculum for foundational and advanced FPV flight
- Teach flight fundamentals and advanced piloting skills for combat and contested environments
- Troubleshoot, repair, configure, and maintain FPV systems across multiple UAS platforms
- Evaluate and integrate emerging FPV, sUAS, and cUAS hardware and software solutions
- Support integration of FPV knowledge and capabilities within cross-functional operational teams
- Assist with payload integration, communication pathways, and mission-relevant system configurations
- Provide instruction on safe electronics handling, assembly practices, soldering, and wiring
- Contribute operational insight on kinetic FPV employment, cUAS tactics, and current battlefield trends
- Support documentation, feedback loops, and curriculum updates based on operational needs and lessons learned
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience flying, troubleshooting, and fixing FPV systems across multiple UAS platforms from a tactical perspective in contested environments
- Experience implementing, evaluating, and executing training curriculum for foundational flight fundamentals and advanced piloting skills for combat and contested environments
- Familiarity with soldering PCBAs and connecting electrical wiring
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, preferably across DoD components
- Experience vetting cutting-edge hardware and software within FPV, sUAS, and cUAS systems
- Hands-on experience with kinetic FPVs and associated employment techniques in recent modern conflicts
- Proven background in electronics safety, fundamentals, and best practices
- Experience with Betaflight and FPV simulator software
- Experience integrating operational payloads and communications pathways into UAS
- Experience in Counter-UAS operations, tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Experience employing FPVs in real-world combat scenarios
- FAA Part 107 certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- SOF experience
- Military experience
- Prior experience supporting special operations, advanced training programs, or mission-focused test and evaluation environments
- Experience instructing adult learners in austere or operational settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical material into effective training
Physical / Field Requirements
- Must be capable of performing work that is not strictly sedentary
- May include walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Must have adequate eyesight and hearing for office and field environments
- Must be able to work in austere environments
