FPGA Engineer

About the role

FPGA Engineer position based in Sunnyvale, onsite, full-time. The role involves working on the next-generation platform redesign of an e-beam lithography machine, focusing on heavy architecture and new development (80% new design, 20% support), custom serial communications, and real-time data systems. The candidate will own FPGA projects from architecture through production and collaborate closely with software and electrical engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on next-generation platform redesign of e-beam lithography machine (heavy architecture and new development work: 80% new design, 20% support)
• Develop custom serial communications and real-time data systems
• Own FPGA projects from architecture/design through production
• Collaborate closely with software and electrical engineering teams
• Candidates with Xilinx FPGA experience, end-to-end ownership, and cross-functional hardware/software collaboration are preferred

Requirements

• 5-8 years of FPGA experience
• Strong Xilinx FPGA experience
• Experience owning FPGA projects from architecture/design through production
• Real-time systems, serial communication, and Ethernet protocols experience
• Ability to work closely with both software and electrical engineering teams
