FPGA Designer
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years or more of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Experience with designing / developing / integrating FPGA subsystems.
Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level.

The Work
Lockheed Martin is seeking an FPGA Designer to join our Mission Systems team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration.
You’ll support efforts to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the FPGA Development Process.
- FPGA development activities and providing technical guidance.
- Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
- Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

Desired Skills
- Experience with FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).
- Proficiency with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.
- Familiarity with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test setups and test equipment (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers).
- Prior involvement in FAA or EASA certification audits.
- Experience with version control systems and configuration management.
