Job Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) manager's primary role is to translate financial data and results into performance metrics and actionable items to assist the Bank in achieving its financial goals. Key responsibilities include supporting the Director of FP&A, providing budgeting and forecasting support, participating in the annual budget and strategic planning processes, developing financial models, preparing reports, and presenting financial results to senior leadership.
Primary Objectives
- Supports the Director of FP&A in providing in-depth budgeting and forecasting support to line of business teams.
- Establishes timelines for budgeting and forecasting activities and presents results regularly to executive management.
- Drives the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and three-year strategic planning processes.
- Develops complex financial models to guide future business ventures, new product launches, strategies, and marketing campaigns.
- Reviews historical and future performance trends to identify appropriate paths for financial development.
- Prepares accurate board and management reporting, company metrics, and competitive benchmarking.
- Develops profitability metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to benchmark future line of business growth.
- Meets and presents financial results to senior leaders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Supports the Bank’s M&A activities, including due diligence, forecasting, and post-close analytics.
Position Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on FP&A.
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of bank FTP, capital allocation, and cost allocation methodologies.
- Advanced financial modeling skills are required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Experience with Axiom Financial Reporting is preferred.
- Ability to extract and analyze data from various sources is essential.
- Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel Power Query is preferred.
