Foundry Casting Processor - 2nd shift

Schedule

Core hours are 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm (2nd shift).

Pay

Hourly rate: $19.77 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, castings, and equipment using a fork truck or payloader.
• Use rough grinding equipment, portable hand power tools, and bench grinders to remove parting lines, gates, risers, flash, and other surface defects.
• Change or dress small inspect grinding wheels or bits as required; install prescribed wheels or abrasive belts.
• Operate power equipment to cut sprues, gates, risers, and runners; operate bandsaw and change blade as needed.
• Operate power vac, repair ladles, dump and shakeout molds, hook off and shovel castings.
• Set up and operate automatic molding machines according to work instructions.
• Operate shot blast cleaning equipment.
• Fill small cavities with lab metal and smooth; patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards.
• Operate automatic floor sweeper.
• Perform minor maintenance such as tightening loose parts, replacing sprues, and cleaning the assigned work area.
• Detect and report defective materials; refer questionable cases to supervision.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and complete assigned training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is offered.
• Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered (Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt).
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or provide visa support for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and carry items up to 50 lb, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Stand for 8–10 hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in high‑temperature environments.
