Founding US Customer Value Lead
About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional generalist to join us as Omnea’s first Customer Account hire. You’ll be excited to design, build, and lead the US arm of the customer function, and have a massively accelerated career trajectory. You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time. We’ve just raised $50M in Series B funding from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Accel, Point Nine, and First Round Capital. In the past year we’ve grown revenue 5x, tripled our customer base, and maintained >99% retention with enterprises like Spotify, Wise, Albertsons, Adecco, and McAfee. Our team is small but high-calibre -- it took over 10,000 interviews to hire our first 50 Omneans. Now we’re scaling fast and building the category of AI Supplier Relationship Management.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the US customer function, including setting up processes, tools, and systems.
- Own NRR across a book of enterprise accounts, ensuring everything you do is tied back to commercial outcomes.
- Carry an NRR quota covering both expansion and retention across your enterprise book.
- Proactively identify upsell opportunities, run commercial conversations at exec level, and own the renewal process end-to-end.
- Build genuine executive relationships with key stakeholders, including CFOs, Procurement Managers, and other executives.
- Collaborate with sales to update our ROI calculator & business case, attend events to network with C-Suite stakeholders, and be the voice of your customers in a product strategy workshop.
- Shape the playbook from scratch, working alongside an exceptional implementation team, product experts, and leadership to define the commercial rhythms, norms, and processes as the function grows.
- Feed direct signals to Product and Revenue leadership, surfacing what's blocking adoption, what's driving expansion, and where we should be investing.
Requirements
We don’t expect you to know exactly how to do absolutely everything when you join! We are looking for someone with the right attitude & skillset to take on this challenge. TL;DR you're commercially sharp and instinctively know how to navigate complex organizations. You might come from consulting, sales, or a generalist commercial role - what matters is that you've worked in proper enterprise environments, managed senior stakeholders with high expectations, and have a track record of getting things done.
- 4-8 years of experience in a top-tier & fast-paced environment; perhaps that’s a start-up or scale-up, VC, consulting, banking (or any professional services), or an entrepreneurial endeavor.
- Experience in a commercial role, working on six-figure ARR+ accounts, navigating multi-stakeholder buying committees, and building genuine executive relationships.
- The ability to build rapport, influence people & drive change, whether it’s with a distinguished exec or a junior operator.
- The ability to engage and influence senior leadership (ideally into CFOs, Legal or Procurement).
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and to present effectively.
- The ability to be organized enough to manage a complex book of business without dropping anything, and confident enough to push back on customers when they’re wrong.
- The ability to be ambitious, competitive, and care about doing excellent work.
- The ability to work hard and care lots about your work. Your level of ambition & desire to have a successful career make the required sacrifice & dedication worth it.
- The ability to be great at being ‘in the weeds’ and zooming out to consider the bigger picture. Perhaps you’ve had to execute & manage projects yourself before, so you’re used to shifting gear between operational & strategic work.
- The ability to be highly organized & focused on outputs > inputs - you know the level of discipline, organization, and ruthless prioritization it takes to be productive and you pride yourself on these qualities.
