About the role
The hardware should arrive with a point of view, and the software should make that point of view useful. This role would own system integration, setup, updates, tools, and the small pieces of software that make new form factors feel intentional.
Responsibilities
- Build a thoughtful first‑boot, update, and recovery experience.
- Integrate hardware controls, peripherals, and experimental interfaces.
- Contribute upstream where possible and keep the system serviceable.
Qualifications
A founding engineering role for someone who likes Linux, product details, real hardware, and software that gets out of the way after doing its job.
