About the role
Hussh is building Private Agent One — a private personal agent that acts only with its owner's consent. The intelligence has to be real: retrieval, ranking, tool use, evaluation, and judgment under ambiguity, in production, on data that must stay private. You will own applied AI for Private Agent One alongside the founders: what the agent can do, how we know it did it well, and how it gets better every week. Founding role: equity, ownership, and problems worth your career.
Responsibilities
- Own applied AI for Private Agent One: define what the agent can do, how we measure success, and how it improves weekly
- Build and operate production ML/AI systems: data pipelines, evaluation frameworks, latency budgets, failure analysis
- Iterate tightly with product to ship capabilities that real people use every day
- Bridge the gap where LLMs end and engineering begins — retrieval, ranking, tool use, judgment under ambiguity
Requirements
- Applied ML engineer who has shipped ML/AI into products people use daily — not just notebooks
- Deep experience with production systems: data pipelines, evals, latency budgets, failure analysis, rapid iteration with product
- Clear understanding of where LLM capabilities end and engineering work begins
- Comfort operating under ambiguity with private data constraints
Location
Headquarters in Kirkland, Washington. Kirkland is the primary work location for this role.
Compensation & Benefits
- Founding role with significant equity
- Ownership and autonomy
