Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Your mission is to set our customers up for success, and work advance what's possible with AI agents. You'll be working at the frontier of how AI systems understand, remember, and reason about information.

Responsibilities

• Evolving the world’s first self-integrating SDK: Improving how developers connect their apps to Hyperspell, making integration feel like magic
• Owning relationships: Respond to feature requests and bug reports, fixing many before they reach our ticket system
• Customer deep-dives: Embedding with customers to understand their business, data, and users, then finding opportunities to solve problems they didn't know they had
• Full-stack feature ownership: Building new integrations, API endpoints, dashboard features, and analytics tools end-to-end
• Shaping the product: Translating customer pain points into product direction. Insights from the field will directly influence our roadmap
• Technical enablement: Helping customers architect their implementations, debug tricky issues, and get the most out of our platform
• In the first 30 days, take over new accounts, onboard customers to Hyperspell, and build and ship smaller features they request
• In 60 days, ship internal tools and dashboards to help manage workflows. Deploy custom AI agents to work alongside you to help our customers succeed
• In 90 days, own larger projects that touch all parts of our stack and affect both current and future customers

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product engineering
• Fluency in Python and TypeScript
• A genuine joy in helping other engineers succeed
• Ability to work on location in San Francisco
