Founding Engineer

About The Role

Hiring a full-stack/founding engineers to join our team and focused on product engineering and shipping new features. Things you'll be working on:

• Architecting and implementing full-stack product features in Typescript/React/Node.
• Real examples include — Build out agentic workflows that design, build, and optimize online shops
  Build out product & payments processing infrastructure
  Launch analytics infra on Clickhouse/Kafka that support billions events/month
• Own our user onboarding flow from end-to-end

Requirements

Looking for someone who:

• Can be in office 4-5 days/week in San Francisco
• Is proficient in Typescript/React/Node
• Uses Cursor/Claude Code to accelerate their work
• Built products 0 -> 1 with real users and revenue
• Is OK operating independently without product/design
• Always SHIPS. We don't spend weeks planning features at Replo
• Has a product and customer-focused mindset
• Has experience being burned by deployment and maintenance issues
• If you have a a strong opinion on how products should be built, that’s good
• Values writing clean, maintainable software, including documentation (e.g. the code needs to be correct and run fast, but we’re the ones that have to read it and understand it)
• Is comfortable with ambiguity and defining software architecture patterns to solve customer pain points

Qualifications

• Has a CS degree or formal computer science/STEM backend
• Has started a company before
• Doesn't waste hours interview-prepping on Leetcode
• Has an eye for visual design (or past experience in product design, Figma, etc.)

Pay

Compensation Range: $140K - $500K
