About the role

Cascade is a pre-seed startup backed by a16z Speedrun that is transforming the $13T construction industry with an AI orchestration layer. Founded by former Google ML experts, the company has scaled from $0 to over $200K in contracted ARR within just three months of launching its predictive engine.

As a Founding Engineer at Cascade, you will build the prediction engine that identifies multi-billion dollar construction opportunities. You’ll sit alongside the founders, shipping end-to-end features and leveraging LLMs to analyze billions of signals. This is a high-ownership role for a builder eager to define the tech stack and culture of a generational company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the AI orchestration layer to predict major construction projects using non-obvious signals like demographic shifts and life events.
• Own the full product lifecycle from initial idea to production, shipping end-to-end features with extreme speed and autonomy.
• Shape the technical roadmap and company culture while sitting next to the founders in a collaborative, in-person environment.

Requirements

• Possesses hands-on experience with LLMs and a strong desire to own the entire technical stack, including direct customer interactions.
• Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit, ideally having worked at an early-stage startup or having started their own company previously.
• Is based in New York and thrives in a fast-paced environment where shipping functional code is prioritized over perfecting unused software.
