About the role
The Founding Product Designer (IC) will own end-to-end product design, from discovery through high-fidelity UI, across embedded accounting and bookkeeping experiences. They will act as the founding designer, owning the entire design function including product UX, design systems, and select brand/website work. They will partner closely with the CEO and Engineering in a low-process, high-ownership environment.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product design, from discovery through high-fidelity UI, across embedded accounting and bookkeeping experiences.
- Act as the founding designer, owning the entire design function including product UX, design systems, and select brand/website work.
- Partner closely with the CEO and Engineering in a low-process, high-ownership environment.
- Design flexible, white-labeled UI patterns that adapt seamlessly to partner platforms.
- Build and evolve a cohesive design system without slowing shipping velocity.
- Translate ambiguous, data-heavy financial problems into clear, usable, production-ready experiences.
- Work directly with customers to support onboarding, embedded UI launches, and best practices.
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of product design experience with strong end-to-end ownership.
- Experience with embedded B2B SaaS with consumer-like UX, data-heavy financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in product design roles.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into intuitive user interfaces.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Skills
- Strong visual design skills.
- Experience with design systems and pattern libraries.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Understanding of web development technologies and APIs.

Pay
$160K - $210K base + competitive equity
