Founding Data Engineer (Equity to Paid

MeeBoss is sharing this active opportunity on behalf of Axon Solutions. Axon Solutions helps high-growth B2B companies turn messy, disjointed data into clean, revenue-generating go-to-market engines. This is a founding team role focused on building the end-to-end data stack, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and application integration, to support the company's operational backbone for founders and GTM teams.

About the role

This is a founding role where you will help shape the culture, product, and processes of the company. You will have autonomy and creative input on architecture, tools, and product direction, with the trust to work without micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Ingest external and internal data from tools like BigQuery, Airbyte, or build custom extractors in Python.
• Structure robust transformation workflows with dbt.
• Use Airflow or Dagster for orchestration.
• Design and build logic to learn from and improve data over time, such as predictive fields for expected revenue using AI/ML approaches.
• Develop clean, scalable connections between processed data and internal tools or customer-facing applications (e.g., through Metabase).
• Collaborate directly with the CTO on product delivery, technical roadmap, and GTM support.
• Build foundational data architecture that is reliable today and scalable tomorrow.

Requirements

• Startup-ready mindset with experience working in scrappy environments and shipping with limited oversight.
• Deep experience across the modern data stack, including tools like BigQuery, Airbyte, dbt, Python, and Dagster/Airflow.
• Fluency in Python and confidence in building custom ETL pipelines when needed.
• Comfort working with ML/AI pipelines or predictive logic, particularly for business-relevant outputs like TAM scoring or revenue estimation.
• Passion for clean data and elegant engineering.
• Based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate; remote to start, with a transition to a hybrid role.
