Founding BizOps
About the Company
Our client is a seed-stage, venture-backed AI recruiting marketplace that pairs expert recruiters with AI tooling to help fast-growing companies hire high-quality talent faster. The platform automates sourcing and administrative work while keeping human judgment at the center of the process, and it already works with hundreds of high-growth companies across engineering and go-to-market roles. This is a founding-level opportunity to help build the operational backbone of the business. Founded in 2025, the company has 11-50 employees and operates in the consumer tech and AI recruiting industry.
About the Role
You'd own the relationship engine of the marketplace: managing client accounts and the recruiter network end-to-end while running product demos for the companies you manage. Roughly 80% of the role is relationship-driven work, with 20% spent building the systems and playbooks that let the marketplace scale. It's built for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds trust quickly, and wants real ownership early.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of customer accounts from onboarding through successful hires, serving as the go-to contact for every client you manage.
- Manage relationships with the platform's top-performing recruiters, supporting consistent placements and keeping them engaged.
- Run product demos independently, understand hiring needs, close straightforward opportunities, and transition new customers into account management.
- Keep the marketplace moving—unblock searches, resolve customer issues, and escalate the right things quickly.
- Spot expansion opportunities within accounts through deep customer knowledge.
- Build the systems and playbooks that help the marketplace scale.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment such as operations, recruiting, private equity, or consulting; standout recent graduates will also be considered.
- A proven ability to manage a high volume of client and partner relationships at once without letting things slip.
- A self-starter who thrives without a playbook and figures things out independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Bachelor's degree from a university in the US, Canada, or the UK.
- Able to work on-site in San Francisco five days a week.
Nice to Haves
- Experience personally running outbound, not just overseeing it from the sidelines.
- Background in partnerships, community, or ecosystem-building at an early-stage startup.
- A former founder or early sales hire at a fast-growing startup.
- A track record of turning what works into repeatable, scalable systems.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the product as a user.
