Founding Backend Software Engineer

About the role

Participate in building a cutting-edge AI agent platform from 0 to 1 and scale it to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs using Python and TypeScript.
• Optimize database performance using KV, SQL, and Document-based databases.
• Test and scale APIs to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the technical architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Partner with customers to diagnose and resolve issues, delivering impactful improvements quickly.

Requirements

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience with a solid foundation in Computer Science and software engineering principles.
• Fluent in Python and TypeScript, with experience in FastAPI and NextJS.
• Understanding of databases and their appropriate use cases.
• Experience developing, testing, and scaling RESTful APIs.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate about AI/ML applications and automation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OOP design patterns, clean architecture, event sourcing, and Test Driven Development.
• Experience with DevOps tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions, and cloud platforms.
• Thorough knowledge of the Linux operating system.
