About the Role This role involves building the core intelligence layer of the product, working directly with the founder to automate structured contracting, extract insights from messy data and compliance documents, and support smarter purchasing. This is a founding engineer position offering co-founder-level responsibility. The role is mission-aligned with industrial decarbonization and climate impact. Responsibilities Build AI-native workflows for structured contract generation and clause-level reviewImplement LLM agents and retrieval pipelines for negotiation prep, scoring, and summarizationConvert procurement, compliance, and supply chain data into usable structured formatsShip fast and shape the product with real usersSit with users and get to know their workflows like a Forward Deployed Engineer Qualifications Experience building with LLMs, MCPs, vector DBs, and orchestration frameworks including LangChain or LlamaIndexHistory of shipping production-grade tools, not just demosExperience as a forward-deployed engineer, working directly with customersAbility to build custom AI solutions that solve real business problemsComfort translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersStrong GenAI/agent systems experience (LLM orchestration, retrieval, tool-use) and solid backend skills (Python/TypeScript, APIs, data pipelines, security)Ability to translate procurement workflows into usable software, prototype fast, and ship to productionOperates autonomously, prioritizes ruthlessly, sets clear milestones, and brings a calm, analytical, low-ego presenceBonus: Marketplace experience, carbon compliance (LCFS, 45Z, EU), LangChain, AWS/GCP, unit-economics modeling, trading, B2B SaaS, contracts, or procurement systems Required Skills Strong GenAI/agent systems experience (LLM orchestration, retrieval, tool-use) and solid backend skills (Python/TypeScript, APIs, data pipelines, security) Preferred Skills Marketplace experience, carbon compliance (LCFS, 45Z, EU), LangChain, AWS/GCP, unit-economics modeling, trading, B2B SaaS, contracts, or procurement systems Pay range and compensation package Not specified in the job description.
