Founder's Associate

About the Role

This is not a traditional strategy and operations role. There are no well-scoped project outlines or instruction manuals to follow. Some days will look like the work of a world-class executive assistant; others will have you working across every company function from marketing, operations, and finance to recruiting, event planning, and more. What we offer in return is rare: a front-row seat to how a hyper-growth company actually gets built. Joining at our current stage means you will shape the culture, processes, and identity of Quadrillion. The best candidates will leverage this experience to become Chiefs of Staff, operators, and founders themselves.

We work in-person 5 days a week out of our office in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Be a force multiplier for our team. Above all else, this will be your priority at Quadrillion. You understand there are a million different pieces involved in running a successful start-up, from managing office supplies and writing emails to planning recruiting events or onboarding new hires. You are the backstop of the company to ensure no ball is dropped anywhere.
• Directly support the CEO / Founder. You are their operating system. You will help them see around corners, managing their client calls and calendar. Our CEO's time is the company's scarcest resource, and your job is making sure every hour of it counts.
• Write, constantly and carefully. Much of the company's communication (internal updates, client follow-ups, public material, etc.) will pass through your keyboard. You will play a large part in shaping the voice of the company, and you do not take this responsibility lightly.

Requirements

• 0 - 2+ years of experience at a high-growth startup or top-tier firm in management consulting, investment banking, or private equity
• Low ego and high ownership: no task is beneath you, and no task you take on gets done at less than 100%
• Extremely conscientious writing
• Obsessively organized and instinctively proactive
• Ability to thrive in a 0 → 1 environment and design processes to scale beyond that

About Quadrillion

Quadrillion Labs builds Qualia, an agentic research intelligence platform that does real computational research — running experiments, analyzing data, and surfacing insight for the people who do this work at the highest level. We're a team out of Stanford NLP, HRT, Citadel, Jane Street, Google Research, and Harvard Med, building for an audience that looks a lot like us. We've raised ~$18M from Conviction, Audacious, Bloomberg Beta, ex/ante, and angels including Wes McKinney, the creator of pandas. We're ~10 people in NYC, scaling to ~15 in the coming months. We think this is the Industrial Revolution moment for research, and we're building the team to define what comes next.
