Foundations Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and manage all foundation-related construction activities
• Review project specifications, geotechnical reports, and design drawings to ensure proper execution of foundation systems
• Monitor production, schedule, and cost performance specific to foundation scopes and implement corrective actions as needed
• Identify risks related to subsurface conditions, equipment, materials, and production methods; develop mitigation strategies
• Cookordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless field execution
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, and regulatory guidelines for all foundation work
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for complex foundation challenges in the field
• Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and permits related to foundation construction activities
• Track and report quantities, production rates, and cost data for accurate project financial reporting
• Conduct site visits and field evaluations to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Construction Manager and project leadership
• Supervise team members including training, assigning work, performance reviews, and personnel actions
• Promote continuous improvement in construction methods, safety practices, and productivity
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• At a minimum, the Foundations Manager must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field plus 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience with a strong emphasis on foundation work OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus 11+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, including deep foundations operations
• Must have valid driver's license
