Foster Youth Mentoring Intern (Summer / Fall 2026)

About the role

This program is for Master's Level Social Work Students.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess Foster Youth referred
• Interview and assess prospective Volunteer Mentors
• Participate in team meetings to share assessments and present potential matches
• Aid in trainings for Volunteer Mentors
• Facilitate Match Meetings with Youth, Volunteer, Guardian and Caregiver
• Provide on-going match support and supervision including mid-year and annual meetings and one-year match meetings
• Participate in recruitment, public relations, and group outings
• Cookordinate and administer surveys to Youth, Mentors, and Guardians
• Provide case management necessary to support the match
• Cookordinate, plan and participate in monthly group check-in with Volunteer Mentors
• Other services necessary for the enrichment of the internship experience
