Responsibilities
- Conducting home studies to assess suitability for foster care placement
- Licensing foster care homes to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting to relevant authorities
- Providing support and guidance to foster families and children
- Ensuring all foster care placements meet safety and health standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in child welfare or related field
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Michigan foster care laws and regulations
- Experience working with children and families in crisis
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
