About the role
We’re looking for Combined Cycle Construction Managers for on-site roles. This position is typically billable and not viewed by the customer as home-office support for D&Z.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all project construction obligations and implement craft/labor agreements at assigned project(s).
- Manage relationships with local labor officials, either directly or through the Project Manager.
- Maintain and improve internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development.
- Read, interpret, and apply knowledge of:
- Applicable union labor agreements
- Contract documents
- Project documents and specifications
- Safety procedures
- Project change management
- D&Z operating procedures
- Assist in generating scopes of work for subcontract documents.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant Construction Management experience in the heavy industrial industry or a similar responsible position.
- Broad experience managing project scopes with demonstrated success in safety, human performance, and sub-contractor management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; or an Associate degree in a relevant field, completion of an apprenticeship program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling, project cost accounting, and project change management.
- Strong knowledge of managing project schedules, particularly for sub-contract management project execution.
- Experience managing construction subcontractors and working with union building trades craft.
- Ability to perform physical and mental tasks, including:
- Visual acuity (e.g., preparing and analyzing data, transcribing documents, viewing a computer, reading, inspecting objects, operating machinery)
- Stooping (e.g., bending the spine at the waist)
- Reaching (e.g., extending arms or legs in any direction)
- Walking
- Manual dexterity (e.g., picking, pinching, typing, or other finger-based tasks)
- Hearing and talking
- Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods
- Ability to read complex documents in English
- Capacity to reason and make sound decisions
- Ability to express thoughts orally
- Ability to perform all job functions regularly at the company’s office or worksite
Pay
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00. Final offer amount may vary based on experience and geographic location.
