Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - VC Backed Startups

About the role
As a Founding Product Designer, you’ll work closely with the founding team to define and execute the product vision. You’ll own the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and user testing, ensuring the product delivers exceptional user experiences while aligning with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of core product features and workflows, from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership to define product strategy and roadmaps.
- Conduct user research, synthesize insights, and advocate for user needs.
- Establish and evolve design systems, patterns, and best practices.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to building a world-class design team.
- Work in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a focus on rapid experimentation and learning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work (from research to execution).
- Experience designing complex SaaS, B2B, or AI-driven products.
- Proficiency in Figma, user research, and prototyping tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action in early-stage environments.
- Passion for building products from scratch and shaping company culture.
Pay
$170K – $250K base salary. Offers equity in the company.
