Forward Deployed Engineer - AI SOC

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for deploying security and AI solutions; translate requirements into deployable architectures;
• Partner with stakeholders to align solutions with operational goals; act as trusted advisor during onboarding and optimization.
• Design integrations across SIEM, XDR, SOAR, and data platforms;
• Build cloud-native data ingestion pipelines;
• Integrate APIs, webhooks, and automation workflows;
• Develop reusable deployment patterns.
• Operationalize AI use cases (alert enrichment, triage, playbook selection, analyst copilots); support behavioral analytics and anomaly detection;
• Define data requirements and guardrails for AI outcomes.
• Implement secure automation for investigation and response;
• Support resiliency, observability, and performance;
• Troubleshoot integration issues;
• Improve reliability through documentation and testing.
• Collaborate across security, engineering, data science, and product teams;
• Communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders;
• Mentor engineers;
• Provide field feedback to influence roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, forward deployed engineering, or solutions engineering;
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, XDR, SOAR technologies;
• Strong background in data integration, telemetry pipelines, and security analytics;
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams;
• Ability to lead technical engagements and drive outcomes without direct authority;
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, detection and response, cloud security, identity security, and endpoint security;
• Scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash;
• Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns (REST, webhooks, event-driven workflows);
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts (anomaly detection, LLMs, vector search, AI assistants);
• Experience with security data platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake) is a plus;
• Strong problem-solving and execution mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MSSP, MDR, or XDR environments;
• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments;
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and production software delivery;
• Experience building implementation frameworks or field engineering playbooks;
• Relevant cloud, security, or platform certifications.

Compensation

The compensation range reflects On-Target Earnings (OTE), including base salary and applicable bonus, and may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location.
