To fill the role of teacher when the regular teacher is unavailable creating a consistent and positive learning experience.

- Work Schedule: School year
- Work Hours: Elementary School: 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools: 7:10am-3:10pm
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a teacher who retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools
- Sincere belief in educating all students to high standards
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow and implement instructions successfully
Substitute Teacher Pay
- FWCS retired teacher with valid Indianateaching license: $170 per day
- Substitute Teacher pay for long-term assignments: Contracted teacher daily rate starting on the 16th consecutive day in the same assignment with valid Indiana teaching license.
